The Fun Question is produced by David Thomas.
David is or has been a newspaper reporter and magzine journalist, comedian, arts organizer, professor, higher ed administrator and hobbiest magican. He is the co-founder of Professors at Play and Immersive Denver. Both are organizations deeply concerned with fun--in one case fun in the classroom and the other, fun in the arts.
This podcast resulted from his ongoing research into the meaning of fun and the development of practical ideas about how to design fun place and things. Along the way, he has discovered the mental health benefits of play and so now adds that to his roster of pro-socail reasons people should have fun.
What does he do for fun? Well, podcasting is fun. Teaching is fun. Building and runnning organizations is fun. According to Stuart Brown's Play Style Inventory, David is a "director". He also really likes Disney Parks and all manner of fun architecture.
He has a dog and three kids. And they are fun too.
